What’s in the box?

Nothing’s off limits – but we try to keep it interesting by focusing on curious ingredients and interesting techniques. We also place a huge emphasis on local and seasonal products. We abide by a general mantra that food miles are bad – but we’re not so militant that a nice little piece of imported Manchego is out of the question.

Are there lots to choose from?

Not lots exactly – but a good range that change every week. Expect reference to the seasons – if it’s the sort of weather that demands comfort food, for example, then we’ll roll out our gruyere and pancetta mac cheese. We’re not immune to a current event reference as well. Expect cornbread and gumbo recipes for the 4th July and frogs’ legs the week after for Bastille Day.  

Any thing else in the box?

Yes. Infallible recipes, the odd anecdote, and perhaps an occasional surprise.
